First off, huge congrats to Vera on her Eisner win for “Best Publication for Young Adults” with Anya’s Ghost. If you haven’t picked it up and read through it more than once, you’re missing out. Or, how about a quick look at her mini-comic, “What, were you raised by wolves?” right here! Either way, her work is always clean, expressive, and downright fantastic. It was a pleasure meeting her at this year’s TCAF.
So, how do you use this advice? Pick a project, situation, or challenge and apply it! Think creatively! You’ll never get it on your first try, so give it another shot!
